The following conditions may affect the obtained results and thus impact the interpretation of the FAST score:

- Pregnancy

- Patients under 18 years of age

- Chronic or acute liver disease other than MAFLD

- Liver transplantation

- Heart failure and/or severe vascular disease

- Confirmed active malignancy or other advanced disease

- Use treatments that induce liver injury to obtain reliable results

- LSM and CAP measurements must be from the same FibroScan check.

- The interval between FibroScan test and AST test of blood biochemistry parameters should not exceed 6 months.
